We have conducted various workshops in schools, colleges, and in collaboration with educational institutions to integrate animal welfare into the education system. These sessions aim to teach students about sentience, compassion, and the importance of animal welfare.
Pathways World School, Gurgaon
We conducted a workshop with 1st graders at Pathways World School, Gurgaon, introducing them to the concept of animal sentience and the Five Freedoms. The session included activities like a word finder and tote bag painting. Building compassion at a foundational stage is essential to shaping how children understand and relate to animals.
Christ University, Delhi NCR
The Human-Animal Bond Club at Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, organized an engaging expert panel discussion titled “Towards a Better Paw-spective: The State of Animal Welfare – Challenges & Opportunities in the 21st Century”. This insightful event brought together experts to discuss the pressing issues and opportunities in animal welfare today. Moderated by Dr. Kritika Rastogi, the session featured Dr. Asher R Jesudoss, Executive Member of the Delhi Animal Welfare Board, and Adv. Niharika Kapoor, Policy & Organizing Coordinator at Mercy for Animals, as speakers.
Marwadi University, Rajkot
A brainstorming session was held on January 14, 2025, at Marwadi University to develop on-campus and community-based animal welfare initiatives. Faculty from various departments proposed ideas such as establishing a veterinary center, organizing vaccination drives, and launching awareness campaigns. Academic project suggestions included using AI for animal health monitoring and researching plant-based nutrition. Action plans were set for forming an Animal Welfare Club, conducting outreach activities, and integrating animal welfare topics into academic courses. Plans for formalizing the partnership through an MoU were also discussed.
